Just for fun

This is my entry for this weeks challenge over on Just for fun. This week it is to add a time element with the continuing wings theme.
I started by cutting out a watch from my slice, then stamped a CI clock face. Also cut the wings from my slice, what a fabby machine it is!
Anyhow, covered my mini canvas with silver dabbers, attached the clock & wings, then used rubon's for the time word, then finally added black staz on, crackle, glaze & sepia accents.
Hope it's ok!

Canvas

I have to confess, I had made this ages ago, but never done anything with it, it just sat in my craft room.

So this is my entry for this weeks challenge.

Thanks for looking!

Canvas

Nearly forgot how to do this again!

I have to thank Hilda for giving me the inspiration to do this with her altered canvas on her blog, so thank you Hilda.

Anyway, I altered a canvas yesterday. I started off by putting a thick layer of Windsor & newton Mineral texture gel all over, including sides. After it had dried, I then glued cut up pieces of newspaper. With the remaining mod podge, I added 1 drop of vintage photo distress reinker (waste not, want not!) to give an aged look. After that had dried, I then added my frames which also had the mineral gel & the lighter ones had sand texture gel on them, with CI images behind. (thought I had some larger frames, but can't find them!!) The final touch was stamped images on tissue paper & glued on.

The picture does not look great, but hay ho, I'm pleased with it, considering I have not crafted in an age!

Watch this space for am altered mirror I am working on!

Thanks for looking!

Art

The theme on Lots to Do challenge blog this week is "Art", so I made this canvas.
Background is various acrylic dabbers, then I used a swirl stamp round the edges.
I then used the tissue paper technique, which can be found on the technique zone blog. I seem to struggle with this, as I always seem to get creases when doing this, but on this occasion, I think it adds to the style of the theme!

Canvas swap

Andrea on Lots to do forum, is hosting a canvas swap.

There is no theme this time.

I used the egg shell technique from the fab technique blog, link should be on here somewhere.

I used gold acrylic dabber paint, then sparkle mod podge to give it a bit of sparkle.

The inside is covered with gesso, and I added some fine crushed up egg shells, to give it a bit of texture, then I let that dry. The image was stamped onto tissue paper, cut very close. I then used mod podge again & placed the image inside, then another coat of glue.

I hope my swap partner likes it!

It is Andreas turn this week to set the challenge on the lots to do blog. I made a canvas, which was covered in red acrylic paint, then snowflake peel offs added & finally a FF image 3d onto it.

It is Ang's choice this week & she has chosen Canvas.

Here is mine!
Red acrylic paint for the background & then various stamps. I had done this a while back, even before we had all chosen our themes.

Nature Challenge

OK, confession time. I was on the phone to Andrea, & I had to come up with with my choice of themes on the spot, as I had forgotten all about it! So, there I was, looking round my office for inspiration & I glanced over to my canvas & chose the nature theme for this weeks challenge over on Lots to do challenge blog.
So, here you have it!
Hope you like it & can join in this week!
